✦ A Handmade Necklace Built Around a Rare Pink Angel Cameo
This necklace was hand assembled around a rare pink shell cameo I had been saving for just the right design.
I have always been drawn to unusual cameo subjects, especially cherubs, family scenes and other tender figure carvings. This little angel has such a gentle presence that I wanted to keep the necklace soft and light around it, using vintage shell beads, a star-shaped pearl, and a 925 silver gilt clasp.
The result is a one-of-a-kind necklace with a quiet, devotional feel — feminine, warm, and a little bit heavenly.

⭐ A High-Relief Angel Carving by an Italian Carver
The cameo itself is a high-relief carving of a small angel, beautifully shaped with flowing drapery and softly rounded features.
This is the work of an Italian carver, and the piece bears his signature. I was especially taken by the quality of the carving and the unusual pink tone, which gives the angel a more tender and luminous character than the more common pale shell cameos.
There is something very touching about the way the figure seems to move within the oval — almost as though the little angel is floating.

💛 Soft Pink Tones with Vintage Shell Beads and a Star Pearl
To complement the cameo, I used a mix of vintage shell beads in pale pink and cream, along with a small star-shaped pearl suspended beneath the pendant.
The clasp is 925 silver with gold plating, chosen to harmonise with the warmth of the beads and the gold-filled edge around the cameo. The setting itself is gold-filled metal, giving the pendant a delicate vintage feel without overpowering the carving.
I wanted the whole piece to feel gentle and balanced, so that the cameo remains the centre of attention while the necklace supports it in a soft, romantic way.

This is not a mass-produced necklace, but a hand-finished piece built around a rare loose cameo I genuinely loved.
I am especially fond of these less common subjects — angels, family scenes, and other figural carvings that carry a sense of warmth and feeling. This little angel has that same quiet charm, with a high-relief carving that gives it depth and presence despite its modest size.
