Founded in 1946 in Birmingham by Hill & Co, Miracle has spent over seven decades creating jewellery rooted in the rich visual traditions of the Celts, Scotland, Ireland, the Vikings, Anglo-Saxons and Medieval Britain. Their artisans were known for meticulous research, ensuring each motif had a genuine historical foundation.
Miracle often used carefully formulated glass and smalt to imitate natural stones — a signature look instantly recognisable to collectors. Even today, their limited-production pieces remain beloved for their quality, weight, and unmistakable character.
Traditionally, such Celtic shields and cross motifs were worn as both decoration and protection — believed to guard the wearer from misfortune and negative spirits.
